ANZAC Day 2015

27/04/2015
Crow's Nest State School was once again an active participant in the ANZAC Day activities in Crow's Nest in 2015 with representatives from our school attending both the Dawn Service and the morning Commemoration Ceremony.

Our school marches every year and it is great that our students recognise the signifiance of this special day. Staff and students from our school also march as a part of other community groups.

Year 10 students Daniel, Declan and Corey were a part of the flag bearers party.

Crow's Nest State School leaders were a part of the ceremony with Bethany and Leigh reading the Names of the Fallen, as well as laying a wreath on behalf of the school in memory of our fallen soldiers.

As a moving tribute to the fallen soldiers from World War 1, Izabellah, Kiarah, Jordan and Brayden laid a poppy as each name was read out.

In an addition to the program the RSL conducted a 'Passing of the Torch' ceremony. Declan, Daniel and Corey accepted the torch from RSL President Mr Sullivan. In an addition to the program the RSL conducted a 'Passing of the Torch' ceremony.
